Where, oh where, to begin?

First: ‘your personal attention’ is a tautology: the envelope is addressed to ‘The Householder’ as an individual, so personal attention is implicit.

Second: of course it was delivered by hand. I’ve never seen an envelope post itself through my letterbox.

And finally, not so much grammar as a general gripe: it was sent in the post – it wasn’t ‘delivered by hand’ in the caring manner they seem to suggest.  How stupid do they think I am?
